Poi Lessons?

topic posted Sun, September 16, 2007 - 8:14 PM by  offlineJessica
Hi there tribenetters. I was hoping to find a kind, nurturing individual to help me learn the art of fire poi. I have my own set of practice balls and have played around a little but have yet to find the motivation to devote the time to learn and practice. I am willing to pay for a couple half hour lessons a week with cash, home-cooked meals, artwork, microbrews, unique wine or whatever else you'll except. I truly desire to commit myself to poi so I'm hoping you would be willing to help. Thank you!

Yeah, where are all the poi spinners Yo?
Im also looking to learn some more poi, I have the basics down but could definetly expand.
I have heard that there are some good online tutorials, but sometimes its easier to have a human there.
Also, the juggle club (juggling/poi/other performance arts) meets every Monday from 6-9 in a space downtown. (Contact me for more details)

I know this was posted a long time ago, but I am new to tribe and just read your post. I live in Ferndale but work in Bellingham and spend most of my time there. What I'm trying to get at is that I spin and would love to help you out in your quest for fire, if you haven't done so already (and in that case, we should get together and play with some fire!) I have also spoken to Carla about the possibility of getting a group of people together in bellingham to spin, so hopefully that will happen too. Let me know!

Hey there, I live in bellingham and know of a few people including myself that are interested in learning. I would love to collaborate as well if you are interested in guiding some beginners.
